Well, it’s been some time, but I’m back. I had a couple of weeks holiday followed by a busy week back at work, a weak excuse, but the best I can come up with at short notice. We managed a couple of days away in York in that time, but more of that later.
Guy Fawkes Night happened this week. It’s a time of the year I’ve always enjoyed. I suppose boys never grow out of playing with fireworks. We had out bonfire party last night and what a great time that was. Lots of alcohol, friends, neighbours, tatter ‘ash and plenty fireworks.
The latter mostly came from Brightstar and as with most things, technology is playing its part so that you can watch videos of their products on the web. For example, have a look at Stealth Bomber, our finale for the evening and a steal at £9.99.
Of course, this could be the last time we have a fireworks party if the law has its way. Old Guido’s plot might have had devastating consequences, (there is a York link here, but as I said, more later) and while I have sympathy with Parliament’s motives, I do wonder why it is that the answer to every problem is to punish the innocent for the sins of the guilty.
