Let’s Diarize

Perhaps the worst buzzword bingo phrase to come out of Ursa Minor Beta, but one I can’t help using, my distate blown away by the news that the Beeb is finally — finally — broadcasting the remaining books from the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy with most of the original cast and the late, extremely great Douglas Adams also joining in. So note it in your Outlook diary — 6.30pm on 21 September on Radio Four.

    By "buzzword", I hope you're not implying that diarize, alt. diarise, is a neologism. (As is the wretched: diaried, which is, quite simply, not a word.)
    Diarize is a pefectly "legitimate" word according to both the O.E.D. and Webster's Second Unabridged. (The latter being the last American Dictionary that might truly be described as authoritive.)
    As far as it being an actual "buzzword", I'm really surprised by that, (which of course doesn't mean that it isn't so) if anything I thought it might actually be on the way to being termed archaic! Oh well, would be the first time I didn't know what the heck was going on. : ) BTW Like your blog, but as I am a psittacophile*, I HATE the title!
    * Now that a neologism! ; )
