Europe

Another long day at work. I got home in the mood for some mindless tv and terrestrial didn’t disappoint, the most ‘interesting’ offering being Memphis Belle. Not a patch on Bomber by Len Deighton. You get the point.

Then they had a news break and I got interested. Robert Kilroy-Silk has left UKIP. (It’s a bit like trying to separate a bad smell from a lump of manure — a plan destined to failure.

Apparently Bob couldn’t take his most recently ex-party’s stance on Europe. It wasn’t anti enough. So Bob calls his new party ‘Veritas,’ the Latin for ‘truth.’

How ironic is that? “I’m anti-Europe, so I’ll bless my new party’s name with the language of the original one-Europe super-state.” Sheesh.
