I was in Specsavers this evening getting fitted up for a new pair of glasses. It was my first eye test for three years, but I had to pop in there last week to have the (tiny) screws on my present pair tightened (nothing worse than wobbly goggles) and I realised that if anything happened to ‘em, I’d be totally stuffed.

What exactly is a multi-cultural football tournament? Do teams from different faiths and backgrounds play to their own local rules? Do they have different numbers of players? No. They were a bunch of blokes kicking a ball around. And if it really was a multi-cultural tournament, there wouldn’t have been an Asia FC or a Kurdish team or African team or a white team for that matter. The teams would have been a mix of each.
