Come up and see my Etchings

I don’t know about you, but I’m in awe at what people can do with Photoshop. It’s not just the arty stuff, but the way you can use it to fiddle with photographs, like that hoax 9/11 shot supposedly showing a tourist on top of the World Trade Centre as one of the planes approached.

A sick trick granted, but it’s the sort of wizardry I’d like to be able to do. Trouble is, whenever I’ve tried, the technology is so complicated that my attempts are pretty crude.

I’m afraid I’m stuck in the Etchasketch era as far as ‘computer’ graphics are concerned. Good news then that you can Etch away online. That’s my first effort above, a sort of maze thingy. Bit of a bummer tipping your screen upside down to shake it though.

Nobody’s prefect. If you find any spelling mistakes or other errors in this post, please let me know by highlighting the text and pressing Ctrl+Enter.

I always wanted an Etchasketch, but nobody ever bought me one.

That is so sad, and I mean 'sad' in the conventional sense, not the critical one.

I wanted an etchasktech 2, all I got was fuzzy felt (which was rubbish) and that other one where you drew with a pen onto grey plastic, then when you finished you used a ruler thing to clean it off. Thats was utterly rubbish.

Oh, now that's kewl! I don't mean the fact that you boys never got an Etch a Sketch, but having it on-line now. 😉
