Flying the Flag

No posts for a few days because I’ve been busy on other things, still to do with the blog. Not least, I’ve changed the layout so that there are two sidebars so that I can give more prominence to my links, especially Polly’s Crackers.

I’ve also been working with Templateer, an add-on for the Artisteer program, that allows the things that the original programmers forgot. As a result there is a new button at the top of the page for Polly’s Shorts, not a reference to my sporting credentials, but excerpts of my posts from the last month or so.

There is more about this in Polytechnic which looks at the gubbins of the blog. I’ve taken out several of the Random Worlds that I was unhappy with and added a few more — Romonavs which I think is a nice layout, Piano where I could not resist the Laurel and Hardy image and Reservoir Parrots as I watched the film the other night.

And last, but not least, St George which hopefully you are seeing now. (If not, click here) I’ll fly this particular flag at least until tomorrow when England play Germany.

Since the team talk in the telly ad “If Carlsberg did team talks…” is so poor, let’s hope Capello can deliver something more like the above. The omens don’t look good though — even Paul the Octopus thinks England will lose. If anyone is interested, the background image comes from St George’s Day.com and makes for a tasteful desktop.
