It’s Mrs P’s birthday today, cue fireworks, march past by the household guard, 21 gun salute, commemorative coins struck, first-day cover stamp set and a half-day public holiday in Stalybridge. Left is a pressie from her good friend Lesley constructed from driftwood and shells lifted from the beaches of Anglesey this summer. She really should be selling this sort of thing in the coastal olde gifte shoppes — she’d make a fortune.
