Pain in Spain

When I was a kid, ‘spanish‘ was a bit of liquorice. The hard sort that made your jaw ache and turned your teeth black. Then I as I went to school, I learned more about the Armada, Toledo steel etc.

Proud and noble? Nah! Another weak and decadent power easily led away from a fight!
