Not Again

Whoever said that God is an Englishman was fibbing, at least where football is concerned. He/she may be German, Brazillian or Portuguese, but to drag us through yet another unsuccessful penalty shoot, he certainly isn’t on our side, unless this earthly purgatory is to make heaven seem all the sweeter when we arrive there.

If it wasn’t for such ball-breaking awful refereeing by Urs Meier right through the game we would be in the semis, but disallowing a perfectly good goal by Sol Campbell was the final straw — he must have been the only person in the stadium to have seen a foul. Think I’ll become an atheist.
