Water Cliché

And while I’m on a ranting roll, when are we going to get over describing any scandal, large or small, by adding ‘gate’ after its name? The latest is Svengate in a who did what to whom with what and for how much storm in a teacup.

If the journos must commemorate one of Washington’s swankier hotels because of the corruption that took place within its walls, could they not occasionally do so by sticking ‘Water’ in front instead? WaterSven has quite a ring to it.
