You Are What You Shop

There’s a fascinating article in today’s Telegraph about people’s brand preferences according to their political leanings. Conservatives are quite keen on the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and M+S brands, for example (no way Watson!) while Lib Dems lean towards Ski yoghurt and Galaxy chocolate. Labour supporters, on the other hand, have a thing about watches with both Sekonda and Rolex appearing on their list.

This has really challenged my own political beliefs as none of the brands particularly chimed with me. I can only conclude that I am none of the above, so I must be a communist or UKIP, or even an anarchist. Or a Welsh Nationalist, heaven forfend.

What a load of nonsense. What sort of automon defines themselves by favourite brands anyway.

The first brand I thought of was PG Tips so apparently I'm a cloth capped Labour man. Got to go, whippet needs walking.
