Bitter Blow

“Does it bother me that I’ve not been put up? Of course not. At the end of the day, maybe it’s because I’m a winner,”

So says boxer Joe Calzaghe at the prospect of not being voted BBC Sports Personaility of the year. Complete bollocks, of course. I’ve checked the list of previous winners back to 1954 and they all strike me as high achievers and not a loser among ’em. Perhaps the clue is in the title Joe. Personaility?
