When we took the dog for a walk at Compstall yesterday, I also had my camera for company, something I should do more often. It may or may not be global warming, but all the signs were there that Spring was around the corner.
Birds twittering in the trees, ducks and drakes courting on the Keg Pool and obviously set on breeding, the first leaves on the hawthorn trees, no wind at all and a temperature of 10ºC.
And above the first bluebells to poke their heads out of the autumnal mould. Sounds like they will be in for a bit of a shock if the weather forecast of low temperatures and the possibility of snow is correct.
