Don’t you just love it when you stumble on a site that informs and inspires and yet you didn’t know existed. So it was with iWise.com which has set itself the modest ambition:
To organize the world’s wisdom and make it universally accessible and useful.
It is attractively presented with thought maps, similar to the Visual Thesaurus and videos like the one below on Rosa Luxemburg, one of my heroines.
The site can be rather clunky and some of the search boxes wouldn’t work, at least not in Firefox, and playing the videos managed to crash my creaking PC. Even so, it is a smart site that will presumably get better and I especially liked be able to follow famous philosophers on Twitter which makes a change from the usual banalities.
Did Rosa Luxemburg have big knockers? Don’t remember seeing her inside the front cover of “The Sun”.
Thanks for the website tip. I’ll certainly check it out.
Sounds like an interesting site, SP. I’ll have a look at it too.
