Normal Service

My StreetIf I am a regular visitor to your blog, you may have noticed my absence in recently days and for that I apologise.

I have been busy with a number of projects  since Wednesday, including putting together a website for a friend who is involved in running the Chadkirk Dog Training Club. (Please visit the site as it will help boost their Google ranking!)

But as well as that, I have also been out and about for the annual Heritage Open Days. Above is a photo I took yesterday at the People’s Museum in Manchester of a temporary display of street signs from Salford.

As you can see, it was literally up my street!

I have similar plans for today and hope to visit Mottram Parish Church, the Museum of Transport and Elizabeth Gaskell’s  house at Plymouth Grove.

Assuming I have any energy left, I have other places on my list to visit tomorrow, but hopefully my normal blogging service will be resumed shortly.

Your life seems to be filled with manic activity just now. Thank you for the Heritage Open Days tip – it led me to the strong room of Sheffield’s City Archives where the oldest document kept was created around 1180 AD. Quite fascinating.

One can be away and post. But ya can’t really fake the visits, I noticed when I was away last month.

Thanks for calling by. Yes, the last few days have been hectic and not just with the Heritage Days. More follows tomorrow!
