I’m not entirely sure what Shakespeare meant by that line in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but I always turn to the bard when smitten, as I was last night.
I was at Chadkirk Dog Training Club to take some photos for their website when our eyes met across the matted floor. And her name is Pati.
That’s her pictured above, a Miniature English Bull Terrier with the sweetest nature and temperament.
Jack, our overgrown Jack Russell and canine in residence is getting on in years which means that we have those ‘what sort of dog would you like next?’ conversations more and more frequently.
Which is pretty tactless of us you might think, and Jack would agree judging from the black looks he gave me as I gushed about Pati’s wonderfulness.
Not that he need worry too much. A similar bull terrier pup costs the thick end of £1,000 which is hard to justify for a pet, rather than a show dog.
Besides, there are a lot more where Jack came from, rescued from the streets and needing a home.
