Party Time

Canine SantaWe went to our first (and possibly last) Christmas party last night and it was absolute bedlam.

It was the annual Chadkirk Dog Training Club bash and there were forty or fifty people and dogs present, many in fancy dress. (The dogs, not the owners.)

I’d agreed to go along to take a few photos for their website, but it turned into a family outing when Mrs P and my sister-in-law were asked to judge the fancy dress competition, then my daughter decided she’d join us as well.

The decibel and excitement levels were not unlike those of a kids’ party and the dogs were incapable of keeping their santa/elf/reindeer/wizard hats on for more than a minute at a time.

Apart from the little fella above who appeared quite comfortable in his hat.

My own favourites on the right were Paddy as Father Christmas and his fairy princess who likes to flash her gnashers for the camera.

There were party games, of course, including musical chairs which I videoed, although it is probably only of interest to those taking part.

sounds like every party at Chuck E. Cheese I ever attended; I always had a headache at the end of the time.

Thank heavens you didn’t video what John Rowland and Lyn Sparrow got up to after the doggies’ Christmas party!
